Human Factors in Signalling Systems
The application of human factors is centred on people. When ergonomics & human factors principles are applied to signalling control centre design, the user is at the centre of the design process. This involves consideration of the physical and mental (cognitive) characteristics of users that should be applied to the design of an object, component of a system, or environment. Failure to do so may result in the creation of an unsafe and inefficient operation.
