Manual handling assessments
As Ergonomists, the consultants at Human Engineering have a comprehensive understanding of the biomechanics of the body and the task factors that combine to characterise a manual handling task.
These manual handling characteristics include the weight of the load, the frequency of the lift, the distance over which the load is carried, the load shape, lifting aids and weight distribution, postural constraints and the general working environment.
We have undertaken a wide variety of manual handling assessments in warehouses, production facilities, offices, and other operational sites, including cold storage environments.
We are experienced at using manual handling tools, such as RULA and the NIOSH manual handling tool, and are fully conversant with the HSE Manual Handling Regulations.
