Human Engineering has extensive experience in the design and evaluation of the driving environment, including: rail cabs, airplane cockpits, car driver’s cockpit, bus cabs, tram cabs, tractor cabs and reach truck cabs.
The consideration of human factors and ergonomics in the design can improve safety, reduce the potential for driver health issues and produce a cab that is intuitive and easy to use.
Human Engineering has been involved in concept development projects of innovative vehicle cabs, assessment of existing cab designs and cab modification / retrofit projects.
Our services include task analysis, user requirements capture, CAD modeling, ergonomic control design & layout, human machine interface (HMI) design, prototype trialing and seat specification, including adjustability requirements.
