DSE assessments
Human Engineering can provide a full range of services for Display Screen Equipment (DSE) risk management. This can include the completion of DSE risk assessments on your behalf, or the provision of DSE risk assessor training courses to allow your staff to perform their own assessments in-house.
Human Engineering is fully conversant with the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992 as amended by the Health and Safety (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 2002. The Regulations came into force on 1st January 1993 to implement a European directive, No 90/270/EEC of 29th May 1990, on minimum safety and health requirements for work with display screen equipment. The regulations and HSE guidance material have been amended to take into account changes in technology and improvements in knowledge of risks and how to avoid them.
The regulations affect employed and self-employed workers who habitually use VDUs for a significant part of their normal work.
